In July of 1999, Melanie and Kathy went to the Hawaiian islands with Kathy's parents (Melanie's Grandparents... duh!). We had a wonderful time and did so many fun things.

Here are some of the pictures that I took on our trip. You can click on any of them to see a larger version!

We took a cruise about each of the major Hawaiian islands, stopping in Kauai, Maui, Oahu, and, of course, the "big island" of Hawaii.

We got to swim on the same beach on Kauai that was used during the filming of "Jurassic Park"!! Lucky for us, though, no dinosaurs made a "guest appearance" from the jungle!

One of the highlights of the trip was a helicopter ride that we all took so that we could see some of the wonders of the islands that aren't normally seen by tourists.

The waterfalls to the left were used in the opening sequence of the "Fantasy Island" TV show.

As you can see by this picture, the natural beauty of the island is breathtaking. Even this picture doesn't do it justice.

We had a great time snorkeling off the coast.

Melanie looked like "The Creature from the Blue Lagoon"!!!
